The most researched non-prescription Vitamin A derivative in a lightweight, fast penetrating, sensorially luxurious oil format. Stabilised with Lipochroman and Vitamin E. Boosted with Tetrahydropiperine. Soothed with Defensil Plus and calming extracts of Chamomile and Calendula. Formulated to help rejuvenate the appearance of the skin and give an overall improvement to skin texture. Manufactured / packaged under nitrogen, into airless containers. As we age our skin experiences a number of physiological changes such as thinning of the dermis and epidermis as well as a reduction in keratinocytes and collagen production. In addition to natural ageing, the skin is repeatedly exposed to environmental stressors such as UV radiation, pollution etc. Thinning of the dermis and epidermis results in a less effective skin barrier function and in turn leads to higher environmental stressors, higher trans-epidermal water loss and vulnerable skin. Retinol exhibits powerful anti aging action by increasing the production of keratinocytes (cells which produce keratin), endothelial cells (increases dermal vascularity) and fibroblasts (synthesizes collagen and extracellular matrix). This in turn leads to:- Thickening of the epidermis- Stimulation of collagen production- Increase in skin firmness- Increase in cellular renewal- Decrease in fine lines and wrinkles
Benefits of Retinol:- Retinol has shown to inhibit UV induced Matrix Metalloproteinases (enzymes which degrade collagen and prevent new collagen production).- Regulate oil production and reduce acne/blemishes.- Reduce collagenase. -Brightens skin tone. -Evens out skin tone.- Increases wound healing.- Considerably less erythema, irritation, TEWL, compared to tretinoin / retinoid acid.- Retinol boosts the effects of hydroxy acid peels due to increased cellular renewal, increased epidermal healing and enhanced penetration of the peeling agent. Retinol can be resumed after all evidence of peeling and irritation subsides.References:• J Invest Dermatol. 1995;105:549–56.• Skin Res Technol. 1998 Nov;4(4):237-43.• Nature. 1996 Jan 25;379(6563):335-9.• N Engl J Med. 1997 Nov 13;337(20):1419-28.• Journal of Cosmet Dermatol. 15, 49-57• Clin Cosmet Investig Dermatol. 2015 Aug 26;8:455-61.• Arch Dermatol. 2007;143(5)606-12• Int J Cosmet Sci. 2017 Feb 39(1)56-65• J Invest Dermatol. 1996 Aug;107(2):178-82.• Skin Res Technol. 1998 Nov;4(4):237-43.• J Invest Dermatol. 2000 Mar;114(3):480-6.Warning – May cause irritation. There are a number of different types that are all derived from Vitamin A, and the difference between them lies in the concentration. It can be used to treat acne, as well as to reverse ageing by stimulating collagen and thickening the epidermis. Proven to plump up fine lines and wrinkles by firming the skin, as well as reducing pigmentation and uneven skin tone, it's a truly skilled multi-tasker.
Retinol skin products can truly transform your skin by increasing cell turnover and stimulating collagen and elastin production. Used topically, retinol skin care is proven to smooth the skin, fight acne, reduce wrinkles, reverse sun damage and more. If you suffer with eczema, rosacea or psoriasis, specific serums, oils, and retinol cleansers might be too powerful for your skin type.
You’ll need to give your skin time to adjust to this powerhouse ingredient, so we recommend introducing any retinol skin products into your skincare regime gradually. Try using it once or twice a week to start off in order to see how your skin reacts, then slowly increase application to every other day or three times a week. Apply our Retinol serums in the evening over serums and under face creams. Plus don’t forget to wear sunscreen daily.
Incredibly so. Retinol has near-infinite benefits to offer, especially when it comes to your complexion. Clinically proven to improve skin cell turnover whilst minimising the breakdown of collagen in order to reduce fine lines, retinol also helps a number of skin concerns such as dryness, uneven skin texture, blemishes, acne, and more.

Squalane (plant derived)
A powerful emollient with high oxidative stability found and created naturally in our skin. Squalane has occlusive properties yet is non-comedogenic and assists dry, inflamed skin conditions. It supports the skin’s barrier and has anti-bacterial properties.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil (Organic)
Jojoba Oil is very similar to the sebum created by the sebaceous glands within the dermis. Sebum is fundamental for skin health. It assists in keeping the skin moisturised, maintains skin elasticity and preserves the skin’s barrier. Due to Jojoba oil’s sebum like qualities it is readily accepted and easily absorbed by our skin and has shown to be effective in enhancing the permeation and efficacy of the active ingredients it is combined with.
G Ital Dermatol Venereol. 2013 Dec;148(6):687-91
Curr Drug Deliv. 2017;14(3):426-432
Jojoba oil exhibits high oxidative stability and resistant to premature degradation. Studies suggest Jojoba oil accelerates wound healing and stimulates collages synthesis.
J Ethnopharmacol. 2011 Mar 24;134(2):443-9.
C13-15 Alkane (Hemi Squalane)
A lightweight, ultra fast absorbing emollient derived from sugar.
Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Extract (Organic)
Chamomile extract has strong anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. It inhibits nitric oxide production within the dermis. Nitric oxide is a catalyst for inflammatory diseases and is associated with acute and chronic inflammations. Chamomile extract has anti-oxidant and antimicrobial properties and has shown to enhance wound healing.
